1. What Polingo is

Polingo is a free, browser-based word game inspired by the category-and-letter party game format. There's nothing to buy, and you don't need an account. We offer it "as is" for fun.

2. Using the game

You may use Polingo for personal, non-commercial play — with friends, family, classrooms, or your community. Please don't try to disrupt the service, overload it, scrape it in bulk, reverse-engineer it, or use automated tools to interfere with games other people are playing.

3. Player conduct

Because games are real-time and social, you're responsible for what you type — names, answers, and any custom categories you create. Don't submit content that is hateful, harassing, obscene, illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights. We may remove content or block access that breaks these rules. Be kind; it's a party game.

4. Intellectual property

The Polingo name, design, code, and original content are ours. You may link to the site freely. Please don't copy or republish the site's content or code without permission.

5. Trademark disclaimer

"Scattergories" is a registered trademark of Hasbro, Inc. Polingo is an independent, fan-made game and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Hasbro. We use the word "Scattergories" only to describe the style of game and to help people find a free online version. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

6. No warranty

Polingo is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep it running smoothly, but we can't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. Games are temporary and rooms are cleared automatically after they end.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Polingo and its maintainers are not liable for any indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the game. It's a free word game — play responsibly and have fun.

8. Advertising

Polingo may display third-party advertisements to help keep the game free. Those ads are served by ad partners subject to their own policies; we don't control their content.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the game evolves. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
